Spice World HotPot:
Spice World Hot Pot is a hot pot brand originating from Sichuan, a region with a long-standing culinary tradition in China. Established in 2003, Spice World HotPot is one of the top 10 famous hot pot brands known for its unique flavor in broth and accompanying dishes. It is currently present in 10 countries around the world, including China, the United States, Singapore, and Vietnam.
The uniqueness of the broth comes from natural ingredients sourced from its place of origin, such as specially selected forest pepper from Hongya, Sichuan, and chili peppers from the Quy Chau mountain region and Sichuan, as well as various types of mushrooms. All the ingredients are simmered for 4 to 6 hours to create the distinctive Sichuan Mala hot pot broth in the shape of adorable Teddy bears and Hello Kitty cats.
The culinary excitement not only comes from the taste but also from the visual experience, as Spice World HotPot adds a playful element by incorporating melting toy mascots into the hot pot, delighting the diners’ eyes while their stomachs crave for more.
Coming to Spice World Hot Pot Vietnam, spicy food lovers will experience 3 types of soup: Teddy bear, Hello Kitty and canola oil, with 6 levels from mild spicy to super spicy. The non–spicy school will be enjoyed through 6 flavors: Collagen nourishment, Tubular bones, Medicinal plants, Pork and chicken stomach, Mushroom soup and Tomato soup.
At Spice World HotPot, fresh and delicious slices of Wagyu beef are delicately arranged, captivating the eyes with the dress of a Barbie doll, or rolls of lamb meat on a one-meter-long wooden board. There’s also the Prime Minister’s meatball, originating from the praise of a former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during a dining experience at the restaurant. All the ingredients are fresh and not frozen.
The restaurant features two floors with 180 seats and three private rooms, each serving 10 guests. The dominant color scheme is red blended with black and white, creating a fusion of the old and modern society.
Half of the space represents the modern world with black steel ceilings, transparent glass walls, and a minimalist interior design in black and white. The other half embodies the old society with walls adorned with historical figures’ paintings, predominantly in red, creating a captivating and mysterious atmosphere.
The private rooms follow the design style of the old world, with red walls and additional decorations of paintings depicting the mountains and forests of Sichuan. There are no screens or stages like typical dining establishments in Vietnam because Spice World HotPot wants diners to fully immerse themselves in the dining experience.
Traditionally, Sichuan hot pot is popular during the winter months in China to warm the body. However, in Vietnam, the popularity of hot pot has surpassed the limitations of weather, as Vietnamese people can enjoy hot pot anytime they desire.
The Collaboration between Spice World HotPot and Saigon Horeca
To serve high-quality cuisine with world-renowned brands, Spice World Hot Pot Vietnam has trusted Saigon Horeca as the design and construction unit for the entire kitchen equipment of the restaurant. With a kitchen area of up to 120 square meters, combined with the existing conditions such as elevators and building layout, we calculated and allocated functional areas according to the standards of an international standard restaurant.
The washing area is designed with 2 double stainless steel sinks, a washing table, wall-mounted shelves, and large stainless steel cabinets for dish storage. Based on the restaurant’s operating characteristics, serving customers from 10 am to 11 pm, this area is used for dishwashing at the end of the day and for pre-processing ingredients the next morning, ensuring food hygiene and safety by controlling contamination with clean ingredients.
This area is 100% equipped by Saigon Horeca’s own design and production. In addition, a backup prep area is also arranged near the washing area, serving as a backup for simultaneous prep and washing activities.
The cooking area is arranged with 2 large boiling stoves, each with a capacity of 100 liters of broth, a 3-burner stove for preparing sauces, pan-fried dumplings, desserts, and more.
Parallel to the cooking area is the support area for cooking, which functions as a storage and re-prep area for food. The area is equipped with Hoshizaki refrigerators from Japan, an stainless steel sink, sliding stainless steel doors, and a 2-tier shelf above to maximize workspace utilization.
The distinctive feature of a hot pot restaurant is that the cooking capacity is not high because the hot pot accompaniments are fresh ingredients used directly at the dining table. Due to the spaciousness and ventilation of the kitchen, this area is only equipped with a hood for fume extraction, ensuring standard ventilation while significantly saving investment costs.
The largest area is the food serving and storage area. It has a capacity of nearly 3000 liters with 3 standing glass door storage cabinets from Berjayja-Malaysia, allowing good observation of the ingredients inside. Additionally, the serving area is also equipped with 2 lying Hoshizaki cabinets. This is where the staff will spend a lot of time preparing and decorating dishes, such as the Barbie doll beef dish, seafood dishes, etc.
In addition, the storage of dishes and utensils also requires a considerable quantity due to the nature of hot pot cuisine. With 6 sliding stainless steel cabinets and 2 stainless steel sink tables, they will ensure efficient service for the restaurant’s customers.
The storage room is also essential for storing spices, dry food, or restaurant utensils. The multi-tiered stainless steel shelving system optimizes storage space for this area.
To create thin slices of lamb and beautifully rolled beef slices, the meat cutting area is equipped with a Berjayja brand meat slicer and a Hoshizaki freezer, ensuring the freshness of the selected meat pieces.
