Amdang Typhoon is one of the restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide 2021. The restaurant offers a unique blend of Chinese and Thai culinary cultures, which serve as the inspiration for their signature crab dishes.
The interior design concept of Amdang Typhoon
The interior design concept of the restaurant combines classical elements with royal Thai palace motifs. Upon entering the restaurant, guests are transported back to the early 90s, where they can enjoy dishes served alongside train tracks, accompanied by the aroma of steam rising from the noodle station.
Beyond the classical space, there are private dining rooms styled after the imperial court, featuring a dominant color scheme of dark brown wood, deep blue accents, and intricate red patterns, evoking a sense of nobility and mystique.
The restaurant offers two enclosed private rooms with doors, as well as one open-concept room with sheer curtains. With a seating capacity of 10 guests per room, it is an ideal venue for family gatherings or friends to indulge in the flavors of Thai cuisine.
Stepping away from the train tracks, guests enter a nostalgic space with peeling walls. The interior is refreshingly cool, adorned with tropical plants, creating a comfortable ambiance.
